The reasons why I believe Zutara is secretly canon
Zutara and Avatar Official
Tumblr media
Older Zuko and Katara drawn by the Korean Animation Director of Avatar! Look at their gestures!!
It's not really surprising, though!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Warriors only show their back to someone they completely and fully trust," someone said.
Zuko and Katara trust each other enough to do that again and again!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Katara never wore flower in her hair, then she wore them in Jasmine Dragon, like out of nowhere??
Ah, apparently Avatar studio answered it. Same flower, same colour!
Tumblr media
Are we delusional or are they denial, while ATLA Official Youtube Channel honoured Zutara Week???
Also, it written,"there is an undeniable connection and chemistry between these two elemental opposite that deserves to be recognise and celebrated!"
2. Zutara and The Writers
Joshua Hamilton : I'm Zutara. You know, I'm just originalist. Also Joshua Hamilton : I read the Bible a long time ago and it said they're supposed to get together
Tumblr media
3. Zutara and ATLA Chibi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, this is the thumbnail!! Also, they are soooo in love in ATLA chibi, like...
Tumblr media
Sooo, Katara, you think Zuko is cute????
Tumblr media
"My heart burns for you!" yeah, literally!!
4. Zutara and Fortnite Bundle
Tumblr media
Fortnite knows who the real canon couple is when released Zutara bundle!!! And...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hug! Hug! Let's hug anywhere!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
...and love!!!
5. Zutara and The Actors
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Really??? Put them side by side and let them pose like this??? Really??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Red and blue dresses? Sun and moon earrings? Don't tell me that isn't Zutara code!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Question : Does Zuko like Katara in Avatar? Dallas Liu : (Smiling suspiciously) Is not a no, but is not a yes!
Couldn't they have been more clear? They could have said, "Zuko doesn't like Katara because they're enemies!"
I mean they're enemies in Season 1, right?? Right???
Why is the answer so clearly that Aang and Katara just like family relationship, but not for Zuko and Katara? Why???
6. Zutara and NATLA
Tumblr media
Are you kidding me??? This scene is not necessary, at all, but Zutara crumbs is way important, so here we go!!!!
Dang! I'm about to upload another (a lot actually) Zutara crumbs, but I've reached my maximum limit! Too much Zutara in NATLA!
Zutara-Antis : Of course NATLA gives its fans lots of Zutara crumbs, otherwise they wouldn't watch it!
Actually, that's the point. If Zutara is unpopular or secretly canon, why would NATLA bother giving fans so many crumbs? Why not other couples?
If other couples are more popular, shouldn't NATLA be more worried about losing more fans?
7. Zutara and Video Fanmade
youtube
I LOVE THIS!!! I LOVE THIS!!! I LOVE THISSS!!!
Tumblr media
Zuko : (Holding Katara's hand) Katara... Katara : (Healing Zuko's wound) You're not going anywhere...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And they're stick together!
8. Zutara and Children's Storybook
Tumblr media
Yes, Zutara chemistry and relationship development is so beautiful, it is even written in a children's story book..
Beautiful.. So beautiful..
NB : I got this picture a long time ago, I forgot who owns it. Please, please, if this picture is yours or if anyone knows the source, please let me know!
Come on, guys, give me more proof that Zutara is secretly canon!! I'm sure there's more!!!

Into the Light
(late) day 7 of Zukkaweek @zukkaweek - touch starved
‼️tw captivity, malnourishment
--
“Appa!” Aang calls out, rushing to hug his friend. Katara and Toph soon join him.
After so many days of searching, they finally found their bison friend. Of course, Sokka is just as happy and relieved as everyone else, but something just doesn’t feel right. He looks around the room, the dark underground cell, and his eyes land upon something that looks like a curled up figure in the corner.
“Guys,” he says.
After everyone’s eyes turn to him, he just points to the end of the room.
Katara lets go of Appa and comes closer; the others follow.
“Who’s that?” she asks.
“I don’t know,” Sokka replies. “But it looks like Appa wasn’t the only prisoner here.”
“What should we do?” Katara asks.
“We can’t just leave them here,” Aang chimes in.
Sokka knows that he’s right. No matter who the other prisoner is, they most likely do not deserve to be left in this horrible place.
“You guys stay back,” he commands. “I’ll try to talk to them.”
He slowly approaches the corner, trying not to startle the person.
“Hey there,” he says softly as he approaches them.
The figure turns around and looks up at him. Even in the dim light, Sokka can clearly see a very prominent feature of theirs - a familiar looking scar on one side of their face. Zuko.
For a moment, their eyes meet. Sokka takes a few steps back, shocked and confused. Zuko buries his face in his hands, as if he was trying to hide.
“No, no, it’s okay” Sokka soothes as realization hits him. The person in front of him may be Zuko, but it’s not the Zuko he knows anymore, not after everything he’s been through. When Sokka looks at him, all he sees is a scared, traumatized person that needs to be saved.
“It’s okay, I won’t hurt you,” he assures.
Zuko reluctantly looks up at him again. He doesn’t even look like himself anymore; he’s pale, skinny, his weird ponytail is replaced with short, messy hair. Sokka can’t help but wonder, how long was he in there? Is that why they haven’t seen him around since the North?
“We’re gonna get you out of here, okay?” he says. Then he turns to his friends. “Toph, can you help with the chains?” he asks.
Zuko looks anxiously at the earthbender as she approaches him, but he allows her to work on the chains. Soon, they get broken and slip on the floor with a quiet clang.
Zuko looks up at Toph; he doesn’t say anything, but it’s pretty obvious what he is thinking. Sokka decides that now it's not the time for explanations; first, they need to get out of here.
“Can you get up?” he asks Zuko, offering him his hand. Zuko grabs it and tries to stand up, supporting himself against the wall with his other hand. But as soon as he is standing upright, he nearly collapses; Sokka manages to catch him and helps him sit back down.
“Okay, that’s fine,” he reassures. “I’ll help you. Just grab my neck and hold on,” he instructs. He wraps ne of his arms around Zuko’s back and slips his spare hand under the boy’s legs.
With Zuko clinging on to him, he slowly gets up; it breaks his heart a little when he realizes how little effort it takes to carry him.
“Alright guys, let’s get out of here,” he commands.
--
The outside world is bright, too bright. Zuko keeps his eyes closed most of the time; he can’t handle the light after spending so much time in darkness. At least it’s a bit warmer in here, though Zuko feels like he was in the cold for so long that it stuck to his skin, becoming a permanent part of him.
The escape was successful, and now he’s sitting on the back of a sky bison, surrounded by the Avatar and his friends, with no idea where they’re going or what is going to happen to him. He keeps clinging onto that Water Tribe boy. It feels like if he lets go, he will be back in the underground prison and the whole escape thing will turn out to be just a dream. But now, with the boy’s arms wrapped around him, it feels so real, he feels real for the first time in so, so long.
“It’s all over now,” the boy reassures. “You’re safe with us.”
Listening to his soothing voice, Zuko slowly drifts off to sleep.
The first thing he realizes when he wakes up is that they’re no longer up in the air; he can feel steady ground benath him. He can also feel the light weight of something soft draped over him. Someone must have given him a blanket.
“I don’t know, Sokka,” a female voice echoes in the distance. “He doesn’t have any serious injuries, but he’s malnourished, dehydrated and generally exhausted. He’ll live, but he’ll need really good care to make a full recovery.”
“So what should we do?” a familiar voice asks; the Water Tribe boy. “Can he stay with us?”
So his name is Sokka, Zuko realizes.
“I don’t see why not,” the girl replies. “But we need to be careful. We shouldn’t give him too much food at first. We need to have someone watch him all the time. And one more thing I’m worried about... we don’t really know what he’s been through and what effects it had on him. I mean, on his mind,” she enumerates. “The good thing is, he already seems to trust you.”
“Look, I’ll do whatever it takes to make him better,” Sokka replies.
Zuko tries to open his eyes and realizes, to his relief, that it’s gotten a bit darker outside. He starts looking around, until his eyes meet Sokka’s.
“Hey,” the boy says, smiling softly at him. “Did you sleep well?” he asks.
Zuko nods in response.
“Good,” Sokka replies. “Is there anything you need? Food, water, more blankets..?”
Zuko reaches out, gesturing at the boy to let him hug him. And Sokka does; he scoops Zuko, still wrapped in his blanket, up right into his arms.
“Can I just give you some water?” the girl asks. Zuko turns to look at her; it's the Water Tribe girl, the one that kicked his ass back in the North Pole.
He nods in response.
The girl starts to bend some water into small droplets, making it easy for him to drink. His throat is so dry that it hurts to swallow, but at the same time he is so, so thirsty; he just drinks and drinks until he can’t no more.
“You did great,” Sokka praises, rubbing his back reassuringly.
“Let us know when you’re ready to eat something,” the girl says.
Zuko nods in response. Then he closes his eyes and cuddles up closer to Sokka. He still feels too weak to move, his body is still hurting from being chained up, he still feels like he is going to wake up back in his prison cell... and yet, right now, for a moment, everything is okay.

for a moment the world turns gold
or: a fanfic I am posting on Tumblr for some reason
tags: time travel loop as metaphor for growing up abused, canon-typical child abuse, Zuko needs a hug, Zuko needs a boat, hurt/comfort, hurt Zuko
The first time he wakes up with his old face he thinks it was all a dream, everything that came before. It was a nightmare about the way things could have gone, and a warning, and Zuko takes it to heart.
In the war room he says nothing, and when it ends his father pulls him aside.
His silence, Ozai says, was weakness.
And then he burns Zuko’s face.
The next time he wakes up, he feels at his face, gasping. It’s all clean skin, good skin. And he speaks with authority at the war meeting, and his father pulls him aside.
He had no right to speak, Ozai says. He is a child.
And Zuko burns.
When Zuko wakes up again he panics. He stays in bed for a long time, longer than he should, trying to breathe.
He remembers the feeling of his father’s hand covering his face, the heat and sting of it, then white-hot pain and then much less, as his nerves died.
And he shakes in bed, crying, and when his father drags him out and asks why he slept through the war meeting, Zuko can’t tell him the truth, because the truth is so much worse.
He didn’t sleep. He cowered.
And Ozai burns his face.
The next time he wakes up he goes to find his uncle, to ask for help.
He tries to stay calm, to sound like himself, even though he’s beginning to doubt he knows what that means anymore. He woke up this morning with a nervous tic, a tremor all down his leg.
“Please,” he says. “Please, Uncle. You have to help me. I can’t go to the war meeting.”
“Prince Zuko,” his uncle says. “Backing out of your duties only hours before is shameful behavior. You have made a commitment to the Fire Lord. And I put in my own word for you, you wanted so badly to attend.”
“Uncle,” he says, and his eyes burn so badly that he thinks it’s starting now. “Uncle, please.”
And he sits through the meeting, crying, and his father burns his face.
This time he pretends to be sick. He answers with the most wretched cough you can imagine when his uncle comes calling his name.
There’s the coolness of Uncle’s hand on his cheek, the softness of his disappointment. He knows, and shame is like ash in Zuko’s throat.
“Next time, perhaps,” his uncle says. “When you’re better.”
Yes, Zuko thinks, sick with relief. Yes, when he’s not the pathetic person he is now; when he’s braver, stronger, deserving of love. Better.
And his father drags him from bed by his hair, hissing about weakness, his weak and useless child.
Zuko doesn’t disagree.
And his father burns his face.
He speaks up again, because he knows what’s coming. His father tells him to rise and fight, and he rises, he fights.
The flood of fire he can’t break, seething, billowing in waves. For a moment the world turns gold. He could live in the heat of it forever.
The world is really very beautiful, even as it tries to dissolve you.
Then he feels the skin of his forearms blister and peel, and his father grabs his arms, twisting them. His vision goes white.
He falls to the ground, and burns.
He speaks up again, because he’s angry. He’s angry with his father; he’s angry with himself.
He’s trapped and he’s angry, and he hates what’s being done to these men, because it’s the eighth time he’s seen the generals discuss it openly and plainly, with such pleasure. And no one’s ever stood up for him, and someone should stand up for the people no one’s ever stood up for, and he knows, he knows, that if he’s forceful enough, compelling enough, his father will respect him.
What his father respects is strength. Zuko can be strong.
He speaks out, feeling the tremor in his leg, but it’s a tremor of excitement now, not just fear. He knows the right thing to do and he knows how to do it—the thing he’s never known, not just the force of his ideas but a shape—and he gives his speech with the kind of moral clarity that will make his father proud.
And his father burns his face.
The next time Zuko wakes up he stares at the ceiling for a very long time.
Then he goes down to the war room and his father burns his face.
The next days are like this, and the next.
After a while, waking up whole becomes more painful, almost, than being burned.
When he wakes up with his clean face, his good face. It means his suffering didn’t matter. He wants it to matter. If it has to happen, he needs it to matter.
He wakes up with his clean face, his mother’s face, and thinks she wouldn’t recognize the person he’s becoming.
The last time Zuko sits in the war room, he thinks he’s going to lose his mind. He thinks he already has. The flames behind the Fire Lord’s throne lick and curl, shifting colors, and for a moment Zuko is too dizzy to stand. He could fall into that gold again, the loveliness of the world as it eats you.
But he does stand. And he gives the speech, not because he wants to get it over with or because he thinks his father will love him if he just gets it right, but because he’s accepted his father will never love him. That whatever he does he will always be burned. In a thousand worlds, a thousand lifetimes, there is no outcome in which his father does not burn his face.
And as he thinks about this, small hands clenching in his robes, he tries to imagine what it would be like to be his own person for the first time—not his father’s tool, not his sister’s.
“I’m not afraid,” he tells the generals, his father. “Whatever you do to me I’m not afraid.”
And he wakes up on a boat, face singing with pain, and his uncle holding his hand.

"You didn't love her like I did!"
How would you write a much-needed conversation between Katara and Sokka?
"That's not fair" Sokka said. "Of course I loved her! But Aang's right-"
"Don't you dare!" Katara shouted. "Don't you dare tell me you loved Mom as much as I did and then sit there and tell me that Aang's right about me needing to forgive that...that monster!"
"Katara, I'm just-"
"No, Sokka! You weren't there!" Tears were streaming down her face. "That man has haunted my dreams for years! I can still smell the blood! You have no idea what it's been like for me. Mom is gone! She's gone because of me!"
"Katara, no one thinks that," Sokka tried to pull his sister into a hug, but she jerked away.
"I think that!" she snapped. "Mom is dead because that man was coming for me! I couldn't do anything to stop him then. I can do something about it now. If that's revenge, then fine. I want revenge. He took my mother, Sokka. I still need her, but she's not here."
"I need her, too," Sokka said.
"I know that," Katara scoffed. "I know that because you keep turning to me to replace her. Who do I have to turn to, Sokka?" She was met with silence. After a moment, she nodded her head.
"I thought so," she said. "I need to do this, Sokka. I need the closure. I need to prove that Mom's sacrifice meant something. There's no one else who can do this for her." Silence fell between them once again. Sokka stared at the ground beneath his feet. His shoulders shook slightly, and Katara thought he might be crying, but when he looked up, his eyes were dry.
"Alright," he said at last. "You're right. I-I didn't realize what it's been like for you. That man deserves to die for what he did to Mom. But, Katara, this is a man who had no issues killing Mom in front of you. What do you think he's going to do when you come to confront him?" Katara met her brother's gaze levelly, rage running through her veins running hot and cold at once.
"I hope he fights," she said stonily. "I hope he tries to defend himself. I hope he tries to do to me what he did to Mom. I'll give him his fair shot. And then, I'll end him." A shiver ran through Sokka. He wanted to protest more, but there was a hardness in Katara's face that made him hold his tongue. He just nodded.
"Come back," he said. "I can't lose you, too." A lump formed in Katara's throat, but there were no tears in her eyes. She took a deep breath and hugged her brother. She didn't believe he understood her even now, but he understood enough to not stand in her way. That was enough for now.
"I'll deal with Aang," Sokka promised. He walked her back to where Zuko was still waiting for her. Sokka stood nearly nose to nose with him, and glared with all the heat he could muster. Zuko's body tensed, as if waiting for an attack.
"I'm trusting you with my sister," Sokka said coldly. "Don't prove me wrong, or there won't be a palace, boat or cave where you can hide from me."
"Okay," Zuko said, raising his eyebrow.
"Keep her safe," Sokka ordered. To this, Zuko nodded once, firmly.
"On my life," he swore. Sokka hugged his sister once more, and then turned to find Aang. The airbender was some distance away, and Sokka could see the hopeful smile on his face. He was still hoping Sokka had managed to get through to his sister. A hope Sokka could see dying as behind him Katara and Zuko climbed into Appa's saddle.
"Wait," he said, as Sokka got closer. "Where are they going? I thought you were going to talk her out of it!" Sokka shut his eyes and took a deep breath.
"Aang," he said, "we need to talk.

Zutara “unexpected father-in-law” canon-compliant AU
It’s interesting how, in the ATLA finale, there’s no real indication that Katara actually got to see Ozai before he gets imprisoned for war crimes.
In the finale, everyone, including Toph, gets to throw their own personal jab at Ozai.  Not Katara. And part of me likes to believe that she chooses not to see him intentionally.  Because it’s her rough spot.  Not just because this was a man who waged war and destruction for years... but also because she has a hard time processing that the young Fire Lord she finds herself falling in love with is the son of this horrible, cruel man.
She doesn’t want that to be true.
She doesn’t want to accept that Ozai and Zuko are the same blood. And it takes years…. decades… for Katara to finally come to terms with that hard truth, and she pays a visit to her now elderly father-in-law in his prison cell.
His face is gaunt and hollow at first sight, but when he looks up to her, the flaming, brilliant golden eyes are very much Zuko... and she holds her breath.
Ozai is also speechless, and only manages a grin to mask that curiosity.
Over the years, he’d only been lucky to catch glimpses of his aging brother before his passing and been visited occasionally by Azula.  Zuko, however ironically, had been the one to visit the former FireLord the most frequently… promptly at the first of every month.  It became Ozai’s personal passage of time.  At first his son had come with tea, and as the months went by… he came with news: about reconstruction of their FireNation governments, the peaceful republic of Earth Kingdom colonies encouraged by Avatar Aang, the new alliances and trade agreements made with the Southern WaterTribe.  Zuko mentioned all of this to him not as an insecure boy seeking advice, but as a learned man -- one who’d risen from countless mistakes and had eventually found his own diplomatic resolve.
It was a kind of confidence Ozai had no idea existed within his son, and it was in this way that Zuko announced in that cell that this young Fire Lord would finally be married.
“Who is she?”
“Her name is Katara, of the Southern Water Tribe.”
“A Water Tribe peasant,” Ozai muttered, amused.  Appalled.
“Oh, if you knew even half the things that woman has done for this world, you wouldn’t think the FireNation even deserved her.” Zuko glances down, a shy smile forming. “She is unbelievable.  You’d be lucky enough to meet her.  I hope she’ll come around.”
And Zuko leaves before Ozai can say anything regarding a tainted mark or brittle branch that will result of this marriage within Fire Nation royal history.
Over the years, Ozai hears about this marriage, the political alliance that formed from it, the mixed daughters birthed between a peasant and a prince.  When Ozai asks the guards if his granddaughters were borne firebenders, the prisoner doesn’t receive an answer.  Instead, he receives a visit from the children themselves in their royal garb, along with their father.  Ozai sees the familiar golden flame in the girls’ eyes, despite the tanned complexion of their WaterTribe mother.
The girls take a fire-bending stance, and the old man gets hopeful.
But it’s when ribbons of blue begin to dance around the girls alongside the fire-bending movements that Ozai’s smile disappears.
The blue he sees is not Azula’s Fire.  It’s actually not fire at all.
And when the girls end their routine and smile at their grandfather, Ozai turns his back away from them.  Confused and sad, the girls turn to Zuko and ask if they did anything wrong, and their father kneels down to their level, hugging them tightly… and assures them they did not.
Zuko’s visits become less frequent after that, only coming in to disclose important decrees and updated policies to the former sovereign.  Ozai hears about his granddaughters through Zuko, year after year, learning about their favorite foods and colors… their interests beyond bending, their worldly education fueled by their parents’ influence as well as the youthful, progressive Avatar.
When the girls become teenagers, they finally visit their grandfather again-- this time, on their own… and ask Ozai about the war… if their family was indeed responsible for it.
They ask about it not in an accusatory way, but more an assertive way… wanting to understand for their own sake, their future, and how the world might see them as either a blessing or a threat. How delicate their position truly is.
Over time, Ozai grows accustomed to the water he sees and the stories about the WaterTribe he hears with each of his granddaughters’ later visits.  They become women before his eyes, esteemed princesses of two cultures… and when they leave the palace independently, Ozai hears through news of the guards how these girls- much like their parents before them- are making a difference, changing the world, falling in love outside of their borders.
It brings the old man to tears.
The days become quieter, shorter over time.  Nobody visits him anymore, and even Fire Lord Zuko has dedicated his time more to other important matters.  Time runs glacially, erratically.  Ozai combs his now silvery mane of hair with lanky fingers to pass the days, and the last thing he expects is a new visitor approaching his cell.
Sandwiched between two palace guards is this petite, middle-aged woman he’d never seen before, wearing royal red and blue garb.  He recognizes her face instantly, from the ones of his granddaughters.
An old grin passes his face.  “I’m impressed the heat of our country never compelled you to flee, highness.”
Katara grins firmly, finding her breath.  Her eyes are glistening.
“I can handle the sun, thank you.”
Despite having spent most of her life adapting to royal Fire Nation courts, Ozai can still hear this woman’s humble origins.
He looks away in his cell, straightening up in only the way a former Royal can.
Katara nods to the guards, reassuring that she’s okay and they turn on their heels to give her some time alone with the prisoner.
Slowly, she pours the old man some Ginger tea in the same delicate way Uncle Iroh had taught her.  She doesn’t hand him the cup, but rather places it down past the rails, which he takes, and watching her then pour a cup for herself. She’s just beginning to graze her fifties, he thinks, noticing the sternness to her brow, the overworked draping to her lids… and yet, it’s the blue of her eyes that makes this woman seem timeless.
It’s a patient, firm, kind and tranquil blue that Ozai doesn’t understand, but the old man can already sense he will spend his last decade feeling both eased and haunted by it.
It’s quiet for a long time, sipping their tea.
Ozai shifts uncomfortably in his sitting. “To what do I owe this honor? Are you here for some kind of absolution?”
“No. It’s pointless to do that now.”
Ozai stares at her. “Hmm. Then I suppose you found the urge to gloat over the irony of all this, how the tables turned so beautifully for your people.  I can imagine the spirits of your ancestors are celebrating some kind of victory, is that right?”
Katara looks at him. “I can see how you’d think that, but no.”
Ozai stares again.  “Are you waiting for me to beg for forgiveness?”
Katara shakes her head even before he finishes asking.
Ozai can only look at her, then.  Katara waits a long moment and gives him a look that could’ve made any instinct of his prepare for battle forty years earlier.
It’s in that moment where Ozai remembers the advanced, lethal Waterbending technique he’d heard talked about in the palace halls— how it had returned after so many years of outlaw and imprisonment of waterbenders, thanks to women like her sitting in front of him.  Ozai heard that this same woman had managed to master the technique for healing purposes… but looking at her face now, Ozai wondered if she wasn’t against making an exception.
“Are you here to kill me?”
He asks this not afraid, exactly, but rather…. tired, alone.
Defeated.
Her look only lasts a moment, and he sees the woman take a long, deep breath from her center.  She sets down her tea and says “no” looking at him square in the eye, and in her softest voice.
It leaves Ozai uncomfortably impatient.  “Then, why are you here?”
Katara looks away, then shrugs, feeling the old skin of a naive, stubborn teenager stir beneath her as she looks back to him.
“Because I love your son.  And… that makes you my family.”
Ozai hums incredulously, looking out past Katara’s presence for a long quiet moment, and laughs on the way an old man only can.
She chuckles as well, because it’s funny.  It’s messed up.  But it’s funny.
The room becomes quiet again as they sip their tea.  Katara pours her father-in-law another cup, gently handing it to him through the cell bars.  Ozai receives it.
And that’s how their long-overdue conversations begin.

On de-bending Azula for the sake of redemption...
Many think that for a character to be redeemed, they need to hit rock bottom first. Right now, I can't recall if it has been stated on the show or not, but still even if no one said it out loud, that's the mentality Avatar is trying to teach us, through Iroh, Zuko and Korra.
Since the show is trying to teach this lesson, some people now believe that for Azula to be redeemed, she must lose her bending, her royal status, her previous relationships and she should be kicked out of her home, to learn consequences and humility, in order to become a better person.
There is absolutely no respect to be due as I say that this mentality is complete bullshit.
Not only it is unfair, unreasonable and cruel, but it is literally unhealthy and I pity all the people who think that way. I actually have a couple of questions for those people.
If you were brought up in an emotionally and mentally abusive household that ruined you, would you be against getting help because you haven't hit rock bottom? Would you think "yes, my parents traumatized me, but they haven't done anything that directly jeopardized my physical health so it's not that bad. I haven't hit rock bottom yet, so I don't deserve better" ?
If you had a health problem that isn't causing you any issues with your daily life as of now, but demands to be attended in order to not cause any problems in the future, would you neglect taking care of yourself because you haven't hit rock bottom? Would you think "yes, this could cost me my life later on, but there's no possibilities of that happening anywhere in this year, so it's fine. I haven't hit rock bottom, so I don't deserve treatment" ?
If yes, you need and deserve a hug right now. I might not respect you and I pity you instead, but I still would like to give you a hug. And then slap you. Cause you're stupid.
If you are in a bad position in life, you shouldn't need to suck it up cause it's not the worst position ever. Do you not value your life and happiness? If person A is stuck at the bottom of a cliff and person B is hanging by the edge and is in danger of falling, they both need help. You wouldn't only help person A and then wait for person B to fall as well in order to help them.
You don't need to hit rock bottom to deserve better, you just do, cause you're human. You're a living being. And that's enough to make you worthy of a good life without suffering.
Azula doesn't need to hit rock bottom to want redemption and she certainly doesn't need to hit rock bottom to deserve better than what she has.
Thus proven.

The biggest truth that solves all plot holes in Miraculous: they’re bad writers.
No excuse of this being a kids show works because if you want to be not held accountable for holes then fine act like SpongeBob
but you can’t have everything
Yeah. I didn't give a damn about the "plot holes" in Seasons 1-2, or even Season 3 to some extent, because those were mostly monster of the week type of episodes. Sure, there were some semblances of plot and world-building, but it was still mostly episodic and the show still mostly focused on being goofy and entertaining, so I turned of my brain and enjoyed it greatly.
But then Season 4 came along and tried to change the tone of the series entirely, from being a monster of the week to having an actual plot and overarching story, and proved that the writers for the show don't really know how to do that? And then they started digging their holes deeper and deeper and made so many baffling decisions in the writing that the show just turned into a huge mess, full of unresolved plot points, underdeveloped characters, convoluted storytelling, and many unfortunate implications.
And it's like you said. If the show wants me to take it seriously, I will. I'm going to look at a show for what it is. When the show was presenting itself as a goofy episodic show to entertain kids, I judged it as such and I enjoyed it, because Miraculous is good at that. I loved Seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 less so, because it started The Plot™, and it wasn't good at that, but I still enjoyed a lot of it. But Seasons 4 and 5 came along and demanded I take them seriously, so I did. And they weren't good, because the writers aren't good at that kind of storytelling. They're good at goofy shenanigans, but not at complex plots and characters.
And "it's a kids show" is not an excuse. Kids shows can explore complex subjects and can have great plots and characters (ATLA). But it still has to be, you know, good. Kids aren't stupid. I know that kid me would have also hated the Season 5 finale, because Adrien is my favorite, and he wasn't there, and they made Marinette lose.
But at the same time, this is still a show for kids. Miraculous is a kids show, and therefore, it has the responsibility to not promote harmful messages. What would an abused child who is in a situation similar to Adrien's think when they see him call Gabriel a hero in the finale and say that he doesn't know if he'll ever be like him? Children aren't stupid and incapable of understanding anything, and they do deserve good quality of writing, but they also aren't capable of complex media analysis. And when you see people making these long-ass posts talking about how the finale is actually not what it seems like, actually, you have to consider the target audience. A kid isn't going to be picking up on the deep and nuanced hidden meanings in Gabriel final moments that prove he hasn't changed. They are going to see Gabriel hugging his wife, smiling and surrounded by pretty and warm lights while beautiful music plays. If we have to write all these long theories justifying the ending and trying to suggest that what was obviously portrayed on the screen isn't what the show is really trying to say, is a kid really going to get it?
Which is why you see so many people saying shit like "aw Gabriel was really a good man," or "he was never the villain." These people are probably like, 12–13 year olds, and they are watching a show meant for kids. And as a kid, I'm not going to like that Adrien wasn't in the finale, sure, but does that mean I'll understand that Gabriel is supposed to still be a bad guy when the show tells me to my face that he isn't?
It's not like the show can't deal with complex and nuanced characters. I myself have written many character analyses and have treated these characters as complex and nuanced, and they could have been. Again, look at ATLA. Zuko, for example, is a very complex character, but he is still brought to life in a way that allows kids to understand all the nuances and subtleties in his story clearly. There is a lot of rather complex symbolism, but the kids get the jist of it and can understand his story well, even if they don't catch all the minute details. Hell, take Azula. The show doesn't shy away from showing her doing bad things, but it also makes it blatantly obvious that you should feel sorry for her in the end, and that she's also a victim. Again, kids can understand this.
And that's where Miraculous falls flat. The writers fucked up their message. They wrote some deeply problematic stuff, where the abuser won. The bad guy won, but he was actually a good guy. So, people who act like Gabriel maybe aren't all that bad. What Gabriel did in the end was good, and we should all try to be like him. Kids aren't going to question it. In this way, "it's a kids show" goes from being an excuse to being a problem. It's what it says on the tin, and what's on the tin is not good. That's how I feel.
Thank you for your ask!

Dear reader: I hope you enjoy it! <3 Let me know if you want me to continue posting.
Find chapter two here.
Also if you prefer reading in ao3 here's the link.
┊┊┊┊☆┊**┊☆┊┊┊┊
Chapter One
“Dear Zuko:
I hope this letter finds you well. Since you didn’t respond to my messages from the previous weeks, I couldn’t help but do a little investigation on my own. Aang told me he last visited the Fire Nation a couple of days ago, and to his surprise, you weren’t there. Honestly, this got me even more curious. What are you up to, Fire Lord? What juicy secret are you keeping from us?
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that my dad made some octo-fish soup this weekend. I bet you have never tried it, well, maybe on your finding-the-avatar days you stopped by and tried. But that doesn’t seem like you. One day Sokka and I will cook you some, but only if you tell me why you’re being so distant lately!
We’re always here for you, Zuko.
Hugs,
Katara”
Zuko read the letter while waiting for the water to boil. He had never heard of octo-fish soup to this day, but he wasn’t opposed to trying new dishes. In fact, most of his favorite dishes weren’t even from the Fire Nation. After trying the Omashu noodles, who could blame him?
 “Dear Katara,
I hope you enjoyed that soup and the company of your family. Knowing that you spend good quality time with your family brings me so much joy and relief because all of you deserve it. I hope that every good memory makes up for every bad one, though unfortunately, healing doesn’t work like an exchange, does it?
As the Fire Lord, certain duties demand my presence in the other nations. So, as much as I wish my lack of responses were due to a secret vacation of mine, they are more like business trips. Might as well call me the Fire Businessman now. (Don’t let anyone read this to Toph because she most certainly will call me that.)
It was nice hearing from you. Send as many letters as you please. Even if I’m not home, I’ll promise I’ll read them. By the way, how are your little waterbenders doing? I’m sure it was harder to handle Aang, you know, back in our teaching-the-Avatar days.
Best,
Zuko”
He sat down and frowned at the piece of paper. It’s not that he wanted to hide things from her, or his friends. But it was almost embarrassing to write and send a letter describing his last weeks. It was a path of emotions he was unready to walk through. She would probably forget it in a couple of weeks anyway, and then he would be able to tell her everything.
“Dear Zuko,
Or should I say, Dear Fire Liar?
Even though I don’t have a lot of time in my hands, I still managed to get some information about your mysterious “business” trips. Sokka’s been of great help, for once, and a little bird told him that people from the Northern Water Tribe have spotted you in very weird places. But being honest, I still don’t know what is it that you’re hiding so hard. You got yourself an Ice Lady?
On another note, it’s very exciting to see both of the Nations exchanging goods and, you know, not trying to slit each other’s throats. I always wanted the war to end of course, but it was very hard to imagine a future so full of prosperity. It’s hard to grasp sometimes.
I hope I’m not getting overly emotional but it makes me think about my mom a lot. She never lived in a world without war in it, isn’t that fucked up? Some days I feel a strange guilt running through my body because I get to move on and she will always stay there. This seems like I’m getting all over the place. I don’t usually say this stuff to anybody, but I know you would get it. And today seems like a good day for letting it all out.
When I’m down, I like to think that she sees the world through the eyes of Sokka, or dad’s, or even mine. It’s silly, I know. But it makes me feel closer to her.
Well, enough about me. Tell me more about your trips, about your uncle’s new place. I’m dying to know. Maybe next time you should try doing business in the Southern Water Tribe and pay us a visit. We all miss you!
Hugs,
Katara”
Zuko took a long breath. No amount of tea would cure the unmeasurable shame that he felt reading Katara’s letter. He knew how empathetic she was, and how much he loved her family, and he could never forgive himself for what his family did to the world. Every day he looked at himself in the mirror and was reminded of a past he could never erase, his face became no longer his once his dad put his palm on it.
His sudden state made him forget about Katara’s little quest. He was not only full of shame but also full of passion to help others. Every reminiscent of the war also reminded him of the resilience of people during difficult times. And every time Katara changed the subject, Zuko needed to excruciatingly tell her how much her strength motivated him to be better. And after writing that letter, he decided it was time to invite her to the palace.

10 characters 10 fandoms
I was tagged by @birdkeeperklink thank you so much! I really had to think on these since, as per my url you can guess there are a lot. (sorry for the late reply. I got no excuse, really, except life continued to happen around me and deciding who to pick was really hard.)
in no particular order (though Loki is Number 1, I'm sorry everyone else), here we go:
1. Loki Odinson from MARVEL
I just love him so much I've written a 78K fix-it fantasy novel (not finished) to give him the happy ending he deserves. there is no other character I identify with harder than this one: a younger sibling full of rage, always feeling overshadowed by the older one, just wanting to prove their own worth and show the world that they are capable (i got over this a lot in recent years but my love for him still remains.)
Tom just plays him so perfectly and I am so heartbroken that the writers at MARVEL did not know what to do with him, so they killed him off (the Loki show doesn't count because that's not him okay.) he's always having a good time, he's snarky and clever and desperately needs a hug. how can you not love him?
Tumblr media
2. Mr. Spock and Leonard (Bones) McCoy from Star Trek TOS
Yes, they are two people but I just couldn't choose between them!
The grumpy surgeon with a heart of gold an the emotionally suppressed but deeply loving vulcan live in my heart rent free ever since I was a child. Spock was my first crush ever and his complicated relationship with McCoy has always fascinated me. they are two incredibly complicated people and there isn't enough space here to describe why. writing them is just as much fun as watching them and I actually own the autographs of both Leonard and De.
Tumblr media
3. James Wilson from House M.D.
he's a man of many contradictions: he is kind but also House's best friend, he loves people dearly but can also tell them to fuck off. he is confident and funny and he helps people without being a pushover. he loves all of his his wives but cheats at least once. he is a walking mystery which makes him a great friend for House and a nightmare to write. I just love him! also, that smile!
Tumblr media
4. Castiel from Supernatural
Cas is the character, truly! he can go from nerdy to badass in the blink of an eye. a cosmic being that plays dress up just to make one human smile, who should be nothing but an ant to him. he fiercely protects the people he loves and always tries to do the right thing. the character that inserted himself into the story against the writer's will and changed the narrative for ever. when he came on the show, I hated his guts. and look at me now...
Tumblr media
5. Zuko from Avatar the last Aribender
you simply cannot talk about redemption arcs without mentioning Zuko at some point. an exceptional character amongst a cast of exceptional characters. I once joked that 90% of his lines were just him screaming but that poor boy has so much rage inside him, and with all that trauma, can you really blame him? he is the epitome of character growth and a fascinating example of how the villain can become a hero without taking any shortcuts.
Tumblr media
6. Stephen Maturin from the Aubrey-Maturin series
if you read the books, you'll know why. this fucking lunatic is so oblivious to his own eccentricities that you just have to love him. nobody does it quite like him to be honest. no, Stephen, people will not think you're eccentric because you practice sword fighting on deck, however they might think that because you let loose 1000 bees on the ship and run around naked. he has no sense for proper etiquette and i love him so much for it. also, he get's on a ship without being able to swim and performs open brain surgery on deck. he is incredibly skilled and the best damn doctor in the entire fleet. also, his dynamic with his best friend/captain is one of the best friendships I've ever seen/read.
Tumblr media
7. Scrooge McDuck
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this might be an unusual choice but i grew up reading comics and at one point in my life i figured out that all of my favourite stories were writen and drawn by the legendary Don Rosa, who in his book "the life and times of Scrooge McDuck" created one of the most fascinating and fun to watch characters i've ever seen. starting from humble beginnings and rising to the top through his percevierence, fearlessness and ingenuity, inevitably losing everything he loved and ending up alone, only to be found by his family again, his story is one of my absolute favourites in literature. i know that due the never ending nature of comic books, he can never truly get his happy ending but I really wished he could.
8. Keeley Jones from Ted Lasso
Tumblr media
I don't think I've ever seen a woman like her in any media to be honest. she is so clearly feminine and embodies all the traits of a woman that would normally be depicted as bitchy, toxic and self obsessed but she is just none of those things. she is a girly woman who loves pink and cries and she is just so human and lovely and i love her so much for it! her friendship with Rebecca is also so amazing and feels very real and true to what friendships between woman are actually like. I just love her as a beacon of healthy femininity and can only hope that there will be more characters like her in the future!
9. Kim Kitsuragi from Disco Elysium
Tumblr media
the voice, the looks, the everything! the moment I met him I knew I wanted him to be my best friend for ever! his deadpan delivery combined with his dorkyness and his shere competence had me on the floor on multiple occasions. I have not finished the game yet but I have never had a companion this incredible in any video game ever! I could listen to him read the phone book for hours. when he went "daba doop doop dead" I died. also him jumping in when I fail a check has to be the most badass thing ever. I love you, Kim. please be proud of me. (also, I know he probably has a darker side to him that I am not seeing right now because I am always choosing the nice options but hey, the best characters are the complicated ones.)
10. Cole Turner from Charmed
Tumblr media
this show was so much better when he was in it! the half demon who crosses over to the good side without ever really changing his ways. he burns someone alive and laughs about it, drags a detective to hell and doesn't give a shit about civilians. even when he is completely human his solution to assholes is to punch them in the face. he loves power and controling others and looking good while doing it. I know him beind "good" was a whole thing on the show but to me the most fun about him was that he continued being evil but was now using his powers to help the good guys. show me another character that got redeemed into the hero team without losing his evil edge. Cole was just so much fun to watch but unfortunately his character got totally buthcered by bad writing.
No pressure of doing this but tagging:

*rubs hands* hehehe, off to a new ship game (¬‿¬): Zu//toph, Azu//aang, Iru//chani, Stilgar//Jessica, Historia//Ymir, Ere//min
oh, these are all good choices! let's see:
zutoph: i kinda ship it ngl. not nearly as much as i ship zutara but it's cute. i've never really thought/cared about it but... i can see it. toph and zuko's personalities mix in a very interesting way!
azulaang: SHIP IT. okay i have a confession to make: this is my atla otp, literally zutara whomst lmao. it's got the optimistic ray of sunshine but with a badass side hero + evil bastard sadcore villain, except now the stereotypical gender roles are inverted. finally some juicy stuff for a female villain! also, i love azula - she's by far my favorite atla character.
iruchani: kinda ship it, yes. i can totally see it - the wife & the other woman, but chani is the real wife in all but name while irulan stands doll-like by paul's side, aware she's being used and moved like a chess piece wherever he wants. so with paul being... you know. paul (i love him but lmao), i think she deserves some hot lesbian sex. like, good for them both tbh
stilgar/jessica: okay, this is just hot. maybe it's the javier bardem+rebecca ferguson combo that makes it so. maybe it's the reverend mother/unhinged follower of her dark messiah-like son dynamic. maybe because she needs to have good nasty sex after leto's death. but yeah - as i said, hot.
yumihisu: MY BABIES. seemingly opposites who can see their own reflections and pain in each other's eyes + monster romance (kinda; they certainly gave off some beauty&thebeast vibes when ymir was in her titan form) + the queen & her knight/protector... delicious, delicious dynamic. unironically yams' best canon romance lmao. i also like erehisu, but i do prefer her with ymir. the tragedy just adds to the pair imo.
eremin: OH MY GOD. my second snk otp!!! what can i say... childhood friends to enemies to friends again + soulmateism + eren's view of the world (that is going to shape the entirety of the plot) changes through armin's influence/he literally turns into a titan for the first time to save armin & is so ridiculously physical in his affection for him + opposites who are also complements + "i would burn the whole world for you" vibes. god they make me insane. one good thing about the anime ending was the final scene between them - i mean, the hug. tenderly holding each other in a literal sea of blood. "i will burn in hell with you" anyone?? HELLO????? also: my hot take is that they are vastly superior to e.reri (that i always thought as overrated) and only e.ruri can compare among the snk slash pairings... maybe. AH! and that eren should have been in love with armin, nothing about that ~i realized i'm in luuuurv with the girl who lives and breaths just for me only after i had a titan vision of the future from god~ nonsense, it was so badly written it makes me cry onion-style whenever i think about it.
thanks a lot for the ask, dear ❤️

🐉 part 6
Took a while but here’s the next part
part 7 part 8
Tumblr media
Everything went so far, one minute everyone is fighting Azula and than suddenly a large tree lady with three faces popped up from the pool, light blue face masks floated beside her,"She's beautiful" you admitted even though the floating face mask made your skin crawl," I am the Mother of Faces. Through me, separateness came into the world. Through me, came identify" she said her voice was soft, it floated through the air like a leave in the wind," Each season I grant one favour to one human. You make your request now" Aang's face morphed to a surprised one, he looked at the two older siblings, Aang than turned to the mother of faces again,"Is it possible to have two?" he asked,"Don't test my generosity young Avatar, one" the mother said," They waited so long, if we only get one they deserve to get it"Zuko smiled at them,"We find Ursa in another way, I promise" you smiled wrapping your arms around his, he smiled down at you,"Go ahead Misu" Zuko said, as the older woman passed him with a grateful smile.
"This is ridiculous" you heard Azula his followed by the sound of breaking ice,"Your such a disappointment Zuzu, even if your strong your weak"Azula hissed breaking the two of you apart to make her way to the mother where Misu was making her request," We seek a Princess of the Fire Nation, her name is Ursa. Tell me where to find her" Azula said destroying Misu chance to help her brother, even though she hurt Haku, your heart broke for her, however the mother of faces answered, showing a face which was familiar to all of you," That's Norkio" Zuko gasped seeing the face of the woman which invited you all to her house before. "Azula is gone, she's probably on her way back to the town" you said,"We take Haku, it be faster," you said climbing onto the dragons back, Zuko followed by wrapping his arms around your waist,"Let me help, knowing Azula you two need all the help you can get" Sokka said,"Gaomagon ao pendagon kostā carry another kempa valītsos (Do you think you can carry another heavy boy)" you said, Haku grunted not sounding really happy about it but still agreeing to it,"Come on up, just a heads up Sokka it can be bumpy mostly since you two are heavier than Suki, Ty-Lee and me combined" you said making Sokka gasp,"Are you bodyyyy" Sokka was cut off by Haku flying off, he clung to Zuko like a baby kola would to his mother.
The second you landed in front of the small house, Sokka tumbled off the white dragon who was side-eyeing the water tribe boy,"That was the scariest, yet COOLEST THING I EVER HAVE DONE" he said but you hushed him at the end,"Kesan tepagon ao iā dozen sheeps istin skoriot arlī, ñuha kostōba valītsos (I will give you a dozen sheeps once where back, my strong boy)" you said rubbing his neck,"What's going in there? Noren's family... don't tell me Azula-!" Sokka said making you turn around both of them had their backs pressed against the wall and Zuko peeked through the small window," No, they're fine, they're just eating dinner" Zuko said moving away from the window, the light from inside still illuminating his face, Sokka breathed in relief, and so did you,"Thanks to Haku, we got here before Azula did" Zuko did walking over to the dragon rubbing his neck,"I'm going inside, Sokka stay here and keep and eye out for Azula" Zuko said,"Can you come with me?" Zuko asked gently wrapping his hand around your wrist,"Of course,Gūrogon care hen sokka (Take care of Sokka)" you said to Haku before walking towards the door with Zuko.
Noren opened the door, his face didn't show any surprise it was like he was expecting the two of you,"I knew you would return" he said with a soft smile, Zuko looked confused but before he could say something Kiyi ran over to the two of you and tried hugging the both of you at the same time,"You returned because we're best friends right" she said making you giggle,"Come eat dinner with us"she said dragging the two of you to the dinner table.
The food was delicious but Zuko didn't eat any of it, he was just staring around the table taking in the comfortable atmosphere," Noriko, could I ask you something?" Zuko than said suddenly,"Of course" she smiled,"Are you happy?" he asked, Noriko was taken back by the question,"What an odd question to ask?" she said awkwardly,"Please just answer it","Of course I am happy. I am where I belong" she smiled which made Zuko smile as well, he began standing up,"Zuko where are you going?","We have bothered them enough, let's go home. We have a wedding to plan after all" he said holding out his hand, you sat there unsure for a while looking at Noriko before sighing and taking Zuko's hand,"Can I go to your wedding?" Kiyi asked, "Of course, we wouldn't want it any other way," you said,"Wait!" it was Noren he rubbed his wife's shoulder and looked at Zuko,"Tell her what you came here to tell, I knew this moment would come sooner or later," he said. Zuko at first seemed unsure but you nudged him slightly and gave him a reassuring smile,"My name is Zuko, I am the Lord of the Fire Nation...and I am your son".
Silence filled the room, Noriko sat there shocked unable to say a word, however soon the silence was broken by Noren," I recognised you immediately due to your scar, I tried to learn as much as possible about Ursa's past. I knew you would come. I'm sorry for lying to you, I hoped I gave you enough information to satisfy you, yet still live a peaceful life with Ursa" he said bowing his head,"Ursa?" Noriko said confused as Kiyi climbed her lap,"That was your old name, my love, from your old life. You were once a Princess of the Fire Nation, you had two children, one turned out to be the Fire Lord" Noren explained,"Mommy, what is Daddy talking about?" Kiyi asked,"You don't remember any of it because an old spirit altered your memories" he explained further,"I also have an old name, Ikem" Zuko's face morphed into a surprised one,"Than I am where I am supposed to be…..with my father and mother” you looked at Zuko with confusion so was Norten, he shook his head, ” Ursa and I-“but cut off a loud scream,” It’s Haku” you said just than Sokka was blasted through the wall, crashing on the table,” You're having dinner without me….that’s so mean,” he said,” What’s going on?”,” Azula? She attacked out of nowhere, I tried giving Haku a command but he didn’t he respond, he's holding her back though” he said getting up,” I did say once a dragon is bonded, they will only listen to the one who they are bonded with” You smirked,” Than give him a command before Azula comes in”, you where about to speak when a lightning strike hits your shoulder making you fly back into a wall. Kiyi shrieked and hid behind her mother who was behind Noren.
Zuko ran over to you checking if you were okay, Haku's growling made him look back," Finally. I can't tell you how long I waited for this moment".
"My shoulder hurts" you mumbled, making Zuko sigh in relief," Get Noren and Kiyi out of here, Azula if focused on our mother. Sokka and I while take care of her" Zuko said watching Sokka hit Azula with his boomerang giving you the opportunity to rush over to Noren and Kiyi,"We need to leave" you said,"But my wife-","Kiyi isn't safe her, the boys got this, trust us" you said Noren hesitated a moment before moving with you.
"Wow," Kiyi said seeing Haku, meanwhile Noren tensed,"No need to be scared, Haku is mental," you said,"And he's getting used to carrying more people, so no need to worry about the weight," you said grabbing Kiyi from Noren and placing her onto the saddle with you following," Dragon's are real, you're even cooler now" Kiyi said as Noren sat behind you,"Sōvegon (Fly)" you said Haku immediately took off, you look downwards and saw Blue flames emerge from the house,"Don't worry, Ursa will be fine" you said feeling Noren grip tighten around you.
Kiyi was having the time of her life flying on Haku,” Haku land” you said Kiyi was trying to copy you making you giggle. “Hello Appa,” you said as you dismounted Haku,” You are safe here,” you said. Here you waited for the other's return, you heard Kiyi giggle and saw her playing with Appa,"This is a ski bison he belongs to the Avatar" you said making her eyes go wide,"Wow the Avatar" she said," Noren is everything okay?"you asked," I'm worried about Ursa" he said,"She will be fine Zuko and Sokka are amazing fighters and it's probably not the first time they fought Azula" you said putting a hand on his shoulder,"I want to apologise again, I shouldn't have lied I just didn't want our peaceful life to be disturbed","It's okay, I would have done the same too. You were trying to protect your family but now have a bigger family, isn't right Kiyi" you said,"What does that mean?" she asked as Noren picks her up,"Zuko and you are siblings you share the same mom....also Noren what did Zuko mean earlier? He called you his father?" Noren shrugged his shoulders,"Does it mean I'm also a warrior princess like you?" you smiled as Kiyi gained your attention again,"Yes, you be living in a palace and we play every day if you want" you said making her giggle.
Couple of hours later Kiyi was sleeping, you placed on Appa,"I hope this okay?" you said patting his neck, Appa roared softly in response,"That means he okay with it" Aang said from behind you, him, Katara and Sokka were waving at you,"Did everything work out?" you asked,"Yes the other water tribe siblings got what they wanted and are heading back to South Pole" Katara smiled,"But Azula got away" she said," What? Where is Zuko? Is Ursa okay?" you asked,"Yes Ursa is okay, she regained her memory and her face, she and Zuko are catching up" Aang said making both you and Noren breathe a sigh of relief,"Isn't anyone else worried that Azula can pop out any moment and attack us?" Sokka asked,"Aang do you know what Zuko meant by calling Noren/Ikem his father?" Aang sighed,"It's not my place to tell you" he said making you frown.
You and others waited for a while for Zuko to arrive with Ursa. Kiyi was still asleep, Noren quickly embraced his wife and you approached Zuko,"Is there something you need to tell me?" Zuko gulped and took your hand and led you a bit away from the others.
You read through the letter Zuko gave you,"So Ursa forged a letter claiming you aren't Ozai son?" he nodded,"Why were you so afraid of telling me this?","As before I didn't know if it's true or not, I was scared if word went to your father he will break the engagement off" you sighed,"My father agreed to this engagement because of your mothers blood, you have the Roku's blood flowing through you, being Fire Lord was only a bonus" you kissed his cheek,"And I don't really care for any of, I fell for you in such a short time because I felt a connection to you and I like you dorky side" you said leaning your head on his shoulder,"Dorky huh?" he said gently playing with your silver locks,"But next time don't hid something this big from me okay?" Zuko nodded,"I promise"

atla movie/atla natla thoughts from my adhd scrambled brains
I think it's silly to say the atla 2010 movie doesn't exist though I can't be mad at the silly memes that come with it. but it has a great zhao death.. and some good aang/gyatso flashbacks i mean aang made him the amulet? thats precious as shit.. tho them burying gyaso in natla is agood additon.
NATLA is not horrible or great it's simply.
OKAY..
it has a interesting tone.. going from Grim as shit to DisneyCornball vibes.. it def got me to think about how many died in the north during Zhaos attack silly me thought everyone lived
I do wish katara and aang hugged in the end it seemed like they were afraid to let the kids hugs and i dunno whyyyy...
but is it terrible? no it just.. Expostion, boring, clunky, Dallas was very good, Sokka got a few good lines, i hate that the trio kept getting seperated. aang/sokka are suppose to meet jet/bumi at the same time.. everyone was doing solo missions and it felt off.
avatar aang cgi was super uncanny valley goofy to me.
Momo was cute/Appa was fluffy i'd love to see em more esp momo.
Yues wig in the movie was better
Jet is hot
hmmm... Ozai burning zukos face was metal as fuck like brutal man. And dallas crying when ozai comes to say he's banishing. s2 zuko is gonna be sooooo goooood.. Dallas brought his A game
Gordons goofyside is wasted i hate that they deny it to us but maybe will see it in s2
I can agree that aang in the animated series going from finding gyaso body to playing on kyosih island tone is rather jarring.. so the idea of aang grieving /not being in a super good mood makes sense but really it doesn't help when all the dang avatars tell him to be friendless..
Kyoshi was the worse her characzation suckkkkeed.
Bumi i could understand on some aspect wehre he was coming from even if he annoyed me. at least him being sore/broken down from the war /being mad at aang makes sense. Kyoshi had no reason to blame aang when she knows its on Roku the war started
anyway i dont think it deserves super hate nor do i think its super great its just. okay... i get it i aws angry at it for a bit but the more i thought of it the more i thought there are bits i liked .. like dallas/Ian /momo/ so there was a bit of savalage stuff for me..
so if people love its that cool. i see zero issue or a reason why we need to be BUT acuatlly to people who loved honestly that's great. Let em love it thecast worked hard on the show. people are free to enjoy things we don't it doesn't make us better than them it just a matter of opinion
but atla fandom oh you love love.. not letting people have opinions that don't agree to yours. this fandom is so.. toxic.. critsizing is good but don't be mean to fans who enjoy things..

Kill La Hero: 20
Tumblr media
In the lottery of Quirk’s Michi got on really special and annoying one. A living, sarcastic ribbon named Ares, who puts her into superpowered revealing outfits. But this won't stop the girl from fulfilling her dream of being a hero! Just watch her!
(But not too closely please!)
MHA MEETS KILL LA KILL!
Tumblr media
Hello, my loves!
I finally watched the Movie Two Heroes and I loved it :D
So the movies will be added to the fanfic too, I have Two Heroes and the newest on DVD I just need Heroe Rising I think?
So yeah, I hope you like my decisions.
Also, I already draw Michi in her clothes for Two Heroes take a look at Deviantart or Wattpad ^^
Also, I admin this is probably my weakest chapter but Michi and Ares are so powerful it didn’t make sense to make a long fight with Stain and I wanted this chapter out as soon as possible.
Maybe one day I will rewrite it.
Anyway!
Now on with the story!
Chapter 20: Hero Killer
Sooner than the young heroes-to-be know the day of the workplace field training arrives.
Aizawa-Sensei is at the station to escort them to their workplaces safely.
All are packed for a week and have even their hero customs with them.
"You all have your costumes, right? Remember, you aren't allowed to wear them in public.", reminded Aizawa-Sensei. "Don't drop them or anything."
"Yessir!"
"Speak clearly! It's "yes, sir," Ashido."
"Yes, sir..."
"Make sure you mind your manners with the heroes at your internships! Off with you, now."
"Yes, sir!", chorsed the whole class.
Some already got moving, while others had things to clear before they could go.
Izuku, Michi and Ochaco raced after Tenya, who was on the way to the terminal to Hosho.
"Tenya!", called Izuku. "If you ever feel hopeless, make sure you let us know."
"You can tell us anything.", added Michi. "This is a judgement-free zone."
Ochaco nodded in agreement.
"We're friends, right?", said Izuku.
During the whole conversation, Tenya didn't even turn around to face them, but when he answered with a soft yeah he finally looked at them.
The bad feeling in Michi's stomach just got worse.
The look in Tenya's eyes was so strange!
Their friend left them and the three looked at each other lost.
"Well, I have to join Shoto-San.", signed Michi. She hugged first Ochaco, then Izuku. "Have an awesome time at your internships."
"You to Michi-Chan!"
"Stay in contact, Michi-Kun."
"Of course, I will send you text messages!"
With a last wave, she joined Shoto, who had waited a bit further away from them.
"Ready to go Michela-San?", asked Shoto.
She nodded.
"Let's go Shoto-San."
/*/
Michi read a book about Greek Mythologies and Shoto was staring out the window of the train.
Soon they would reach their internship place.
The agency of the number two hero Endeavour, also known as Shoto piece of human dumpster fire father.
When Michi saw a few days ago how Endeavour offered her an internship, she was conflicted.
She didn't want to do anything with such a vile human being, however, he was the Number Two!
The second strongest hero and also the one with the most solved case.
She and Ares would be stupid if they didn't learn from him.
Even if he was a human dumpster fire!
At least Shoto was with them.
They would have each other back and Michi hoped they could become friends.
Already there was a lot of respect on both sides.
"Michela-San?"
"Yes, Shoto-San?"
"Can I ask why you chose my father's agency?"
Michi closed her book and said drily: "Your father is a human dumpster fire, but he IS the number two hero, getting nominated by him is incredible, I think I can learn from him a lot."
Something like an amused smile formed on Shoto lips.
Huh, he was actually quite handsome.
He gave her Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender Vibes. When she was little she had a huge crush on Zuko, before she met Izuku and was ruined for everyone else.
Anyway, Shoto agreed with her and told her he chose his father for the same reasons.
Both silently agreed to be subtle little shits to Endeavor.
He deserved it!
Soon their train arrived at his destinated and they made their way over to Endeavour Agency.
The Number Two Hero waited for them in his office and there was a hungry in his eyes.
He probably thought Shoto would finally bend to his will.
Ha, good luck with that, dumpster fire!
"Get ready, you two. We're going out."
What already?
"Where? To do what?", wondered Shoto.
"If this incident follows precedent, then the hero killer will appear in Hosu City again. We will go to Hosu for a time on a business trip and work there.", explained Shoto's father, before he called his sidekicks to contact Hosu City.
Surprised Shoto and Michi shared a look.
Then he shrugged his shoulder and she nodded.
They did as Endeavour told them.
/*/
For the first one and a half days, nothing happened in Hosu City.
It was calm.
To calm for Michi's taste.
When they were on patrol she also looked out for Tenya, but she didn't even see a glimpse of her friend.
Maybe she worried so much, yet the feeling that something big was about to happen, didn't leave her.
The night of the second day, chaos broke out in Hosu City.
Something was attacking the city!
Shoto and Michi followed after Endeavour, as their phones told them they got a message.
It was from Izuku!
A map with his coordinates!
The two young hero-to-be started to race towards the coordinates, ignoring Endecover's shouts.
At least Shoto told them to send Pro-Hero to the address.
When Shoto and Michi finally reach the alleyway Izuku sent the coordinates to, their hearts stop for a second.
Izuku, Tenya and a Pro-Hero on the ground, bleeding and a guy with a Katana raising it to kill Tenya!
This must be Stain, the Hero-Killer.
Not wasting time Shoto sends his flames and ice and Michi her Thread Storm.
It gets Stain away from Tenya, but he can dodge their attacks.
"One after another...", growls Stain. "There are a lot of people
getting in my way today."
"Midoriya. You need to give more details in times like this.", says Shoto.
Michi gets her Scissor Blade ready, she got permission to use it before she began the internship, and adds: "You made us late, Izu-Chan!"
"T-Todoroki, M-Michi you too?", groaned Tenya painfully.
"Why are you guys here...?", wonder Izuku. Shouldn't they be at Endeaover Ageny? "And Todoroki you are using your left side...!"
"Izu-Chan really? You sent us a random location, this is not you, so it meant you were in trouble. So Shoto-San and I came as fast as we could to help. Don't worry the Pro's will be here soon.", explained Michi.
Shoto uses his ice to lift up the injured and slide them closer and away from Stain. Both promise to protect the other and not let them get killed by Stain.
Izuku warns them about Stain's quirk, they can't get cut or they will be immobilized like them, while Michi runs up to Stain.
"Shoto-San give me cover me!"
"On it, Michela-San!"
Michi attacks with her Scissors Blade and Stain contours with his Katana.
They engage in a fast sword fight, as Shoto shoots his ice and fire before Stain can even cut Michi.
This girl...she is good with her weird sword and with the boy backing her up...this could be interesting.
"Why are you three...Why...Please, stop!", cries Tenya. "I've inherited my brother's name. I have to do it...That guy's mine...!"
Shoto answers him since Michi is too busy sword-fighting with Stain. "You inherited it? That's strange. The Ingenium I saw before didn't have that face, though. You've got a lot going on behind the scenes in your family, too, huh?"
Meanwhile, Stain and Michi clash their sword against each other, trying to overwhelm the other.
"You are good, girl, I give you that!", tells Stain. "But not as good as me!"
Fast he jumps away and throws a knife at Michi.
She just stands coldly there as the knives reach her...and bounce off of her!
"What?! How is this possible!"
"My suit may look flimsy but it's harder than any known substance!", smirks Michi.
This shocks Stain so Michi takes the opportunity.
"Ares let's do it!"
"On it Michi!"
Together they shout: "Sciccor Blade, Decaption Mode!"
The blade gets bigger and Michi runs up to Stain.
Like Mei had told her, all his clothes get cut away and with it, even all his weapons fall on the floor.
Naked Stain twirls in the air, before he lands hard on the ground knocked out.
"So much for the Hero-Killer.", huffs Michi and returns her Scissor Blade to normal.
"Who the heck is this girl, she beat him in what a minute?!", shouts the Pro-Hero.
"Only Class 1A strongest Quirk User and winner of the Sports Festival.", explains Shoto drly.
Michi binds Stain with her threads before she helps Izuku up.
"Izu-Chan all good?"
"Yeah, thanks to you, Mei Scissor Blade is amazing!"
Shoto helps the Pro-Hero and Tenya up.
The Not-Couple listens to how Shoto tells Tenya he understands his resentment and hunger for revenge against STain, but it is not him.
Izuku and Michi agree and tell him they are sorry they hadn't been better friends for him, they should have known better.
Tenya just cries and admits he really lost sight of what it meant to be a true hero.
He would do better from now on.
In the distance, you could hear how people ran up to them.
/*/
In the end, and after for a short moment where one thought Izuku would get kidnapped by a Nomu, thanks to Michi's fast reflexes she saved him, the four teenagers were admitted to the hospital.
Yes, even Michi, they didn't care how she said she was not injured, she had to stay the night.
So all four shared a hospital room.
They all talked the whole night, barely sleeping.
It helped to talk.
Tenya seemed again to be his normal self.
He swore from now on to be a better hero.
Then they fell asleep as the sun slowly rose.
Since Michi was the least with injuries, she was about to be dismissed as the Police Chief wanted to talk to them
As it turned out they did something illegal apprehending the Hero-Killer without a license, but if they agreed to tell the public it was Endeavor who won over Stain, they had nothing to worry about.
Had they really a choice?
After this was out of the world, Michi hugged and kissed Izuku goodbye and even Tenya and Shoto got a hug.
The girl joined up with Endecoever to continue her internship.
She hoped the rest of it would be much calmer.

Honestly I think Zuko is an amazing person, but let's not forget what makes him that way. It's the fact that he realized his mistakes and worked to fix them. Excusing his actions in the beach episode or treating him chasing after Aang and Katara as some kind of romantic thing is taking away all the nuance from this amazing story. I don't think that Zuko's actions should be held against him anymore since he's really changed a lot but the same goes for Mai. He was a bad boyfriend in that episode and Mai had every right to call him out for it. Saying they it was rude of her or something is the real misogyny, not anything those Zutarians have to say.
People love to harp on the beach episode episode how "rude" Mai was for rejecting his gift, and yeah, sure. But then he then spills Ice Cream on her and she doesn't react the same way. She saw how her earlier rejection upset him and tried to at least be appreciative of his efforts the next time (Or maybe im switching up the order of events idk). Mai is also an abused child who doesn't have much experience with healthy relationships, and it is so unfair to expect her to be perfect right off the bat. The point of the whole episode is not to show that they are incompatible, but to let them gain a better understanding of each other and move forward, because no matter the hurdles, they still care about each other. That even if things are rough, they're trying because they love each other. Its so annoying when Zutara shippers take this as the penultimate of their relationship when it is in fact the lowest point. This is like taking the defining moment of Katara and Zuko's relationship as the time he tied her to a tree and called her a water tribe peasant. It's in bad faith. Zuko and Mai are happy with each other from then on until Zuko leaves and they are happy together after that.
And the "Don't ever break up with me again," scene. It's clearly not her threatening him. It's clearly, "You really hurt me by breaking up with me, but I'm here now. So don't do it again." If it was really some cruel line, would Zuko give her that dopey grim after? Would she smile at him after that? Would they hug each other so happily? I don't think so. But zutarians love to misinterpret it and even say shit like, "she poked Zuko on his injury and hurt him." Did it look like he was hurt? He didn’t even wince. I swear they're just making things up now. Anyway Stan Maiko and screw Zutara, they're better as friends.
Mai and Zuko could have been shown as being a happy, perfect couple every second they were on screen together, and Zutarians would still claim they were toxic and Mai didn't deserve him. It's all about trying to slander the "rival" pairings so their ship looks better - which obviously doesn't work, because even if Kataang and Maiko WERE awful, that wouldn't automatically make Zutara good.

'Sokka's Master'
Have we ever had a Sokka episode on this show before this? I can't remember one. Such disrespect to our boi. It's about time he got some spotlight.
It's interesting how even though Sokka has on some occasions displayed defensiveness about being the only bender in the group, this is the first time where we see him actually feeling down because of it. Perhaps it is because of the increasing power of the group's benders that Sokka feels more and more left behind. And that's understandable because the way Katara, Toph and Aang worked together to put out the meteor caused fire was very impressive.
Katara knowing just how to cheer up her brother really does make her the best sister ever. I can't stop gushing about how amazing she is to suggest this shopping trip to Sokka. Also, I can't get over how shopping is Sokka's favorite hobby. I love the Water siblings. <3
I'm trying to think of something meaningful to say about Sokka's training with Piandao, but all I can really think about is Sokka's endearing and infectious enthusiasm. Sokka approaching Piandao's tasks from his own unique Sokka angle... yeah, that's our boy. Unorthodox is the word for it. Even Piandao quickly warms up to him.
I like the touch on how the rest of Gaang really miss Sokka and just feel incomplete without him. Katara trying to be funny will never stop being funny to me. <3 And shut up, Aang, it's not like you've ever made me laugh, you have no room to criticize Katara. 10 Jerk Points. The Gaang rushing Sokka and hugging him, and Katara being so affectionate and even Toph blushing - it's just nice to see that Sokka is so appreciated.
Swole Iroh? Yeah, okay, whatever. I don't know what to say about it, other than that it's a thing. I really wish we'd have a more clear perspective of where Iroh's mindset is at, and what exactly is he working towards. It is clear that from the very start of the show, he has had the ability to interfere in the events more directly and make a difference, but instead he has made this decision not to do so. And because I have to guess at his motivations, one of the unflattering explanations is that he relies on teenagers to fight his battles. Is Iroh that much of a sucker for this obnoxious 'destiny' trope? Is this really the 'you're a wizard, Harry' moment? I mean... probably?
I don't know how to feel about Sokka confessing being Water Tribe to Piandao. Isn't he the big 'keep your mind on the mission' guy? This seemed like putting his feelings above the mission moment, but also like... I get you, Sokka. Just go easy on Katara when it's her time for a side-adventure.
So, the White Lotus way of teaching is to put kids into dangerous and deadly situations, I guess. But fair enough - Piandao isn't Bumi. I think he was in control of the situation, even if Sokka was scared shitless. Does Piandao deserve some Jerk Points for this? Eh... I don't know. I don't feel like going quite that far. I still don't like the White Lotus, though.
Jerk Points for Book 3:
Zuko - 290 Aang – 90   Hide - 80 Sokka, King Kuei - 60
